Orders are typically dispatched every Tuesday and Thursday but during peak trading periods we tend to dispatch most week days.

Please note that personalised and made-to-order items may take a little longer to dispatch.

We will send you an email to let you know when your order is on the way. 

All delivery times are estimates, not guaranteed and intended as a guideline only.  Please be advised that delays in the Royal Mail delivery service do occasionally take place. Although these delays are out of our control, we will do all we can to help. 

Please leave a note at checkout if you have any specific delivery instructions for your postman.

If you have a date that you need something by, please let us know and we'll do our best to meet your requirements.

UK Orders:

All of our UK orders are sent via Royal Mail second class post as standard and should arrive within 2-3 days of shipping, where possible we use Royal Mail Tracked 48 to provide a fully trackable service.

You also have the option to upgrade to RM 24 service during checkout, which aims to deliver 1-2 days after dispatch.

If you are out at the time of delivery, or don't have a safe-place for Royal Mail to deliver to, your postie may leave your parcel with a neighbour or take it to the local depot or collection office. You may not always get a calling card to inform you of this! So please be sure to check with your safe-places and neighbours first. And if your parcel has been returned to the delivery depot or collection office, redelivery or collection in person will need to be arranged by you.

European Delivery Service:

Unfortunately, due to the additional administrative requirements for EU deliveries, we're not able to offer an EU service from our website at the moment.

However, as an alternative, we are able to take orders for EU deliveries via our Etsy storefront, since Etsy provides sellers with the support needed to meet these requirements.

From our Etsy storefront we are able to offer international tracked delivery to Europe where the delivery aim is 3-5 working days after dispatch.

International Delivery Service:

International postage is based on weight and is calculated in the shopping cart, with prices starting from £10.

All of our international orders are sent via Royal Mail's international tracked delivery service which is fully tracked to the delivery point.

The delivery aim for this service is 5-7 working days after dispatch. Please note these timings are approximate, as delays can occur when shipping internationally, especially during peak season.

For international buyers - please be aware that there can be customs charges that you might have to pay. Though unusual, it is possible for customs to sometimes hold parcels up to a few weeks. 

Buyers are responsible for any customs and import taxes that may apply. Wit & Wisdom is not responsible for delays due to customs.

PLEASE NOTE

We cannot take responsibility for incorrect delivery addresses entered at the checkout. Any loss caused by incorrect addresses, financial or otherwise, will be your responsibility.

Orders are delivered by Royal Mail or Parcelforce, and are subject to the terms and conditions of these third parties.

Packaging:

Wherever possible we try to use plastic-free packaging. However, we do reuse and recycle bubble wrap and other protective packaging that we receive from our suppliers, and we also use cello bags and protective plastic film from time-to-time too, so your order may not be entirely plastic-free.

Unframed Art Prints: Art prints that are A4 size or smaller are packaged in a cellophane bag with a cardboard backing board, and sent in decorative paper packaging and a hard-backed envelope.

Framed Art Prints: Framed art prints are typically wrapped in tissue paper and protective paper bubble wrap (or recyled plastic bubble wrap), and packaged in a made-to-meaure cardboard outer box, with minimal additional padding where needed.

Mugs: Mugs are typically sent with minimal packaging, in a made-to-measure smash-proof cardboard postal box. Unfortunately, due to the high price of shipping these small parcels with Royal Mail, we're not able to offer free shipping on mug orders at the current time.

We always package our products carefully so that they reach you in good condition.

On the rare occasion an item arrives damaged, please contact us immediately with a photograph of the damage. We will then be in touch to resolve this for you. We do not usually request damaged items to be returned to us, but please do not dispose of any items until we have been in touch to confirm we will not require it returning.

RETURNS

Please note - if you wish to return your order, the cost of the return postage will not be refunded by us unless the item is faulty. This also applies to any international delivery charges.

When returning an item, we ask that you please use the original packaging and ensure it’s packed really well. We ask this so the item arrives back with us in perfect condition. For more information about our Returns process please take a look at our returns page.

If an item is returned to us because it has not been collected from the sorting office, is addressed incorrectly, or has been marked 'return to sender' we will pass on the costs we incur from Royal Mail. This will either be done by invoicing you for the additional costs alongside the extra postage costs in sending this back out to you, or by deducting the cost from the refund. We do not look to make money from this, we simply need to cover the costs that Royal Mail charge us for these services.
